Reproduction WW2 German Wehrmacht Red/Blue Striped Wool Blanket. These are top quality reproductions of the most common blanket issued during the war to all branches of the Wehrmacht. These are 100% wool, no modern synthetic fibers. They measure approximately 56" x 72" and have fully sewn edge all the way around (as did originals). The thickness was matched to an original, they are thick enough to provide warmth but thin enough to be rolled around a Tornister. These are made the same way as originals and may even have traces of cutter lines on the top and bottom edges where they were cut from the roll. We offer these with Heer, Luftwaffe or SS markings, or unmarked. We mark these with a period type ink process that creates a more realistic marking than the modern screen printing on some other copies. These markings may show some variation or imperfections, just like the real ones. These blankets are virtually indistinguishable from unissued original wartime examples.
