This shield was instigated on August 19, 1940. Awarded to
the German fighting forces employed in the capture of Norway
The silver grade was awarded to the Army and Air force, with
a wool backing corresponding to the branch of service which
the recipient belonged. Die-struck like the originals and
complete with wool backing.
