The General Assault Badge was established on June 1, 1943. It was originally intended for the Engineers Assault Badge, but was quickly re-designated to include members of the artillery, anti-tank and anti-aircraft units.
Criteria
-The recipient must not be eligible for the Infantry Assault Bagde.
-To have taken part in 3 infantry or armoured assaults on 3 different days.
-To have taken part in 3 infantry or armoured indirect assaults on 3 different days.
-To have been wounded in either 2 or 3
-To have won a decoration in either 2 or 3.
